A Short Video describing my paintings in the Every Day Original Show
I hope you are doing well.
My new works will be available in the upcoming Every Day Original Art Show. They are part of my book cover sample portfolio and the originals will be available at Artsy.net/EveryDayOriginal
My new series of paintings are part of the Resident Artist Show at Cheltenham Center for the Arts.
This series of mural paintings show reading coming to life. From Tolkien's giant eagles to astronauts blasting into space. The paintings are designed to excite kids about reading. I will be proposing to display these murals in libraries after the show.
My mural design is being considered for the upcoming Da Vinci Art Alliance mural, Creativity is Just Connecting Things. My mural design shows the power of creative interests connecting together. Colorful streams of creativity emerge from reading, painting and a scientists beaker. The constellations in the galaxy are an example of larger connections. I hope this mural would inspire others to see the potential of creative collaboration. With imagination and creative teamwork there are limitless possibilities. A short video describing my mural concept in more detail.
In honor of the inaugural 2020 Da Vinci Fest, celebrating the intersection of art and the sciences, Mural Arts Philadelphia is hosting a Community Mural Review for an exciting new mural around the theme: creativity is just connecting things. This project is a collaboration between Mural Arts Philadelphia, Da Vinci Art Alliance, Fleisher Art Memorial, and Bella Vista Neighbors Association and will be dedicated at the Da Vinci Fest in October 2020. We encourage all supporters, art-lovers, and neighbors to participate the digital Mural Unveiling and vote for a mural of your preference.
Thank you!
About DVAA
Da Vinci Art Alliance has resided in their 704 Catharine residence since 1957. Since being founded by 9 Italian immigrant artists, Da Vinci Art Alliance (DVAA) has continuously served as a space of creative refuge and acted as a hub for creativity, collaboration, and artistic innovation. While the mural will be located on DVAA’s west facing wall, it will overlook Fleisher Art Memorial, further cementing Catharine street as a lively hub for visual art-making and exploration.
